Hi, I’m Meltem — a Senior UX Strategist and Multidisciplinary Designer who loves turning complex problems into meaningful (and occasionally beautiful) solutions. With 9 years of experience, I’ve worn many hats: researcher, strategist, designer, founder, and sustainable paper enthusiast. I ran my own design studio, mnb.design, before taking four years to work in corporate, and now I’m back to leading my studio again. Along the way, I also launched Cha Paper, a sustainable material brand that started as a project and grew into a purpose.
My background is as colorful as my Figma boards — I hold two master’s degrees in Product Design from IED Madrid and Istanbul Technical University (wrapping up in 2026!) and I originally studied both Industrial Design and Landscape Architecture. I believe that this mix gives me a holistic, system-level approach to design challenges — plus a genuine love for messy whiteboards, sticky notes, and solar-powered benches.
I’ve lived, studied, and worked in Turkey, Italy, Hungary, and Spain — and I speak Turkish, English, Italian, and Spanish fluently enough to order coffee and run a usability test. I’m most excited by projects that combine research, creativity, and sustainability — ideally with a pinch of playfulness and a whole lot of curiosity.
Let’s just say: if it involves understanding humans and designing smarter things for them (and for the planet too), I’m in.
